INTERMEDIATE APPRENTICESHIP IN HOSPITALITY

The hospitality trade is one of the biggest employment sectors, and needs 855,000 new staff by 2017 to replace those leaving the industry.

Work in hospitality is incredibly broad, and can cover hotels, restaurants, bars, pubs, hotels, clubs. Hospitality is all about customer service, whether this is making sure food is served on time or that a hotel room is ready to use.

To achieve your Intermediate Apprenticeship you will work towards a framework of qualifications including, competence and knowledge elements, Employment Rights and Responsibilities as well maths and English (up to Level 2).

You'll work with a Learning Advisor to put together a programme that fits in with your job, to develop the skills you already have and learn new ones. All of which helps you to do your job even better and be ready to go further in your career.

All of your training takes place at work, and your Learning Advisor will visit you to give support, guidance and see how you are putting your new skills into practise.

Additional off the job workshops are arranged when required at the nearest LifeSkills Training Centre.

You'll have loads of options once you've completed your apprenticeship - like training for an NVQ Level 3 in Management, Team Leading or Customer Service

16 - 23 Apprenticeships are available in South and West Yorkshire

If you're not currently working, we'll find you an employer as part of our commitment to help more young people access apprenticeships.

“If you'd asked me a year back, I'd never have thought I could go on to be a team leader. But now I'm raring to go! I've got the skills, the qualification and, perhaps most importantly, belief in myself. And I'm looking forward to Management training in the not too distant future.”
